Kevnjan's big adventure.

Sun. 4th. Mar. Goodbye Perugia, hello again Borghetto, on Lake Trasimeno. An idyllic spot, on the shores of the lake with a view across to the mountains. The journey was short but traumatic with crazy cyclists all over one side of the road and hundreds of mad keen marathon runners coming at us on the other side. The stewards hadn't got a clue and the police and carabiniari seemed as usual, disinterested. A real snapshot of life on Italy's roads. Great fun really! The sosta on the lake is a popular spot with Italian families and they come from all over in their campers to enjoy lunch in the fresh air with other family and friends. Very colourful. We put the chairs out and had lunch in the warm sunshine. We were just dozing off when a familiar van turned up, our friends Geert and Maria had found us and we enjoyed a reunion over tea and biscuits, very English. Later tried to Skype and were frustrated by another dreadful connection, had to give up in the end. Really getting aggravated by this. This morning the connection seems good but of course no-one is available. Such is life for the poor traveller. Enjoyed an hour or two and coffee and whisky with G and M and were in bed later than at any time in the last few months.
