Kevnjan's big adventure.
Mon.6th. Mar.
Winter came back today. We drove to Montepulciano, a wonderful hill top town, our first visit in Tuscany and had to put on coats and hats. There was a cold wind blowing and the temperature was in the low forties. The architecture was fabulous and the views across the countryside spectacular. Everything we'd expected and more. I have a feeling we're going to run out of superlatives before long. We went from Montepulciano to Siena, in the rain, and found a free parking place by a sports centre. Geert and Maria joined us and after an early dinner we set out to walk to the old town. Nearly 4 Kilometeres. Worth every step. These old Italian towns and cities have so much charm and atmosphere by night. Buildings we have seen many photographs of take on a special appearance when illuminated. Can't wait to get back up there and see it in the morning.
